Hi! I’m Sarah and I am an Exercise Specialist teaching strength and mobility to clients of all abilities, using my training in Biomechanics, Reformer Pilates, Mat Pilates and GP Exercise Referral.
Whilst I started doing Pilates in my early 20’s, I haven’t always taught it. I used to be a Business Analyst in the City and although there were elements of it I enjoyed, I didn’t love it, so I decided to follow a different path in something I felt passionate about. It was this, or plants! I started with Pilates and then when the analyst in me wanted more detail, I studied Intrinsic Biomechanics.
People come to me for all sorts of reasons, spanning from managing back pain, to improving their cycling performance or embracing and strengthening their new postnatal body. No body, programme or day is the same and I love the diversity and unique challenges it brings.
I am deeply committed to helping my clients strengthen their bodies, improve their mobility and eliminate pain. I am also on my own fitness journey, having not prioritised it, for much of my children’s early lives. This I believe, brings a lot of empathy and understanding to what I do.

I teach from my home which is a couple of minutes off Church Street. It’s a dedicated space with plenty of natural light and provides a private, relaxed, non intimidating setting.
I have 2 extra large reformers, designed to comfortably accomodate all sizes. They both have a tower.
There are no mirrors. This is quite unusual for a studio, but comes with a very good reason. Practising without any mirrors means we pay closer attention to how something “feels” rather than “looks”. This improves our proprioception, which is the body’s ability to sense its position and movement in space. It requires you to “feel” when you have good alignment rather than use visual feedback. This will then naturally improve our posture throughout the day, as our body subconsciously senses and adjusts our alignment of muscles and joints.
